I founded QVS in 1997 after being a District Manager for a National Distributor of Electronic Component overseeing 3 branch locations for 10 years prior to me starting QVS.
I started QVS to be a Global Sourcing company of Electronic Components, Mechanical Components and Assembly as a Factory Direct Representative and Stocking Distributor.
In 2005 I opened China and Taiwan offices.
We expanded into Germany, Italy, Spain, Croatia, India, Turkey, Netherlands, Malaysia and Thailand.
I frequently travel to ASIA and visit our suppliers' factories, meeting and socializing with the Owners of the factories that allow us to have lower MOQ, free DFM, reduced tooling and short lead-times.
Most of what we sell is either fully custom, like Plastic Injection, Metals - Precision Milled - Stamped and Die Cast, Cable Assemblies, etc. as well as all the standard components and or customized components and or semi modified standard components to provide exactly what our customers need.
We ask our customers, what do you actually need and work with the factories to provide it the way they want it.
We have a policy to never NO BID, we will search for anything and audit the factories with our own QC staff to be sure they are a quality factory with a quality management system, have the correct equipment to produce to spec and we oversee the production line set up, and we offer independent QC inspection of the finished goods, so after the Production Lot has gone through the factories own QC department, we will go to the factory and do our own QC Inspection, if our customers want to see these inspection report prior to releasing the shipment we will provide them for their review and approval to release the shipment.
We have an Electronic QC Manager and a Mechanical Engineer / QC Manager in our Shenzhen office.
We do a lot of Medical and Life Safety Products for our OEM/ODM customers and our inspection service is critical for maintaining consistent quality for these types of products.
For just one example, for Connectors, this is a very strong area for QVS as we know the factories who build for many of the USA Famous Brands, and we typically provide 60% to 80% cost saving because we are able to source directly from the true foundries as well as we provide greatly improved lead -times, i.e. if a USA brand has a 16 week lead-time, we could be 2-4 for the same part, often coming from the same factory.
We are happy to bring in bulk shipments of 3 to 6 months supply, providing cost savings with Freight and being able to capture the cost saving of larger lot builds so that our added profits are often covered with these savings, so it could cost nothing more when placing schedule or JIT orders vs buying directly from the factories.
